Risk Sanctions Management

The qualification of risk sanctions management generally refers to the expertise, knowledge, and skills required to effectively manage and mitigate risks associated with financial sanctions. Financial sanctions are measures that are imposed by governments or international organizations to restrict or prohibit certain activities, transactions, or dealings with specific individuals, entities, or countries.

The goal of risk sanctions management is to ensure that an organization complies with applicable sanctions laws and regulations, mitigates the risk of exposure to sanctions violations, and effectively manages the associated risks. Qualification in this area typically involves an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing sanctions, the ability to conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate risk management strategies, and knowledge of the various tools and technologies used in sanctions screening and monitoring.
