Certified Forensic Investigation Professional (CFIP)

CFIP is the world’s most comprehensive professional investigation credential. A CFIP can handle any kind of investigation touching on Digital Forensics and Financial Forensics as well as criminal investigations.

Do you first meet the minimum requirements?

  • Be a graduate in any field of study; or
  • Certified or Chartered Accountant or
  • Diploma Holder with at least 3-years relevant work experience or
  • A certificate holder with a minimum of 5 years work experience with law enforcement agencies/military

  2. Principles and Practice of Accounting.
  3. Computer and digital Forensics.
  4. Fraud Auditing and Forensic Accounting.
  5. Criminal Investigations.
  6. Studies on Fraud and Corruption.
  7. Investigation Law.
  8. Investigative accounting.

Part-time: Our part-time course is flexible for busy professionals. We offer classes in the evenings from 18:00pm to 20:00pm or on Saturdays from 08:00am to 16:00pm. This mode of study takes 6 months with a minimum class attendance threshold of 75%

Distance: This course is flexible for students that cannot attend the classes physically. They are still privy to all the membership benefits as the part time students. This mode of study takes a up to 12 months.

Online Study: We offer the option of online study to those who chose a more interactive mode of learning. Online study type is executed along with part-time study classes for completion in 6 months.

For part-time students: Exams are delivered four-times a year meaning part-time students are eligible to write their exams every 3 months or twice during the period of study.

Distance learners are only allowed to seat for exams every six months.

Upon completion of all written exams students are required to apply for membership with the IICFIP.

Student Membership: All registered students professional courses fall under this category until they become fully certified and then move to the Accredited Members Category. Student members enjoy discounts at workshops and conference like accredited members but cannot vote at the general meetings or be elected as Forum or Chapter leaders.

Accredited Membership : These are fully qualified CFIPs

They are the ones who are elected as leaders of Forums and Chapters.

They are the ones that have the right to attend and vote at the Forums and chapters meetings.
